He is from Houston, Texas and began his culinary journey at the apron strings of his beloved Grandmother, Pauline Jones. After several years in both retail and network marketing, Chef T-Jay fulfilled his promise to his grandmother by attending culinary school. After graduating #1 in his class at Central Piedmont Community College’s school of Culinary Arts, Chef T-Jay is now the executive Pastry Chef at Bonterra Dining and Wine Room in Charlotte, NC. Rev. Connie Simmons Pastor, First Unitarian Church Cincinnati Rev. Connie Simon was called as minister of First Unitarian Church in August 2018. Prior to entering the ministry, she was a lawyer and program director for a Philadelphia non-profit. At the heart of each position has been a desire to serve others. Rev. Connie describes her ministry a “healing people from the inside-out so they can do the outside-in work our world so desperately needs.”
Trazana A. Staples Fonder; Trazana A. Staples Alternative Stroke Recovery Fund Trazana A. Staples is a native of Cincinnati. She is a product of Avondale, Kennedy Heights, Lincoln Heights, and Forest Park. She holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School, Bachelors of Science Degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Management and Human Relations, and an Associates of Science Degree from Xavier University in Criminal Justice. In addition, she is an alumni of Class 31 is the Neighborhood Leadership Institute Cleveland. She is a longtime advocate for healthy food, food security, community, and environmental sustainability. She is also an author, song writer, and ecopreneur. On October 3, 2017, she survived a massive cryptogenic stroke. In an effort to reinvent herself, she is fulfilling her passion to help support and teach communities about stroke awareness and alternative & complimentary recovery methods. As well as providing healthy food and nutritional education, while enlightening all to a natural healthy way of living.
